Arranging was the first "skill" that I developed as a composer. As a young musician I would often present arrangements of famous full orchestral pieces whittled down to only a string orchestra for my music teachers. This culminated in my first publication by Alfred Music (www.alfred.com) in 2010. I was only 18 at the time.
After many years, publications and opportunities later, I finally reached a point where I started developing my craft as an "orchestrator" rather than "arranger". This was through my own compositions.
Coming from a science background, there is absolutely an analytical piece to orchestration, which is perhaps why I am drawn to the process. The fact that I enjoy the process of orchestration is also why I am willing to advertise my services as such. I think there are few greater joys in the world than hearing an orchestra play beautifully the notes you have put down on paper.
Below is a small selection of pieces that I have orchestrated myself. More cues (audio only) are available by clicking the "music" link above.
I work fastest in Sibelius, but I am also capable of working in Finale as well. I am also capable of transcribing MIDI files into workable sketches.
